Global prevalence of Trichomonas vaginalis infection is estimated to be higher than for chlamydia and gonorrhoea combined.1 Clinical presentation is an unreliable indicator of TV infection in women, as 10-50% of infections are asymptomatic.2 The Aptima TV assay delivers up to 100% detection in both symptomatic and asymptomatic patients.3
